Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using Adla-Badli (the "platform"). By registering for or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. What this platform is

Adla-Badli is a free, independent, unofficial directory that helps Punjab Government school teachers find and contact each other for a possible mutual ("adla-badli") transfer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the Government of Punjab or the Department of School Education, Punjab, and we have no role in approving, processing, or guaranteeing any official transfer order.

The platform only helps two teachers discover each other as potential swap partners. Any actual transfer remains entirely subject to the Department of School Education, Punjab's own eligibility rules, application process, and approval.

2. Eligibility and registration

• You must be a genuine, currently employed Punjab Government school teacher and at least 18 years old to register.
• You must provide accurate information, including your real name, current posting, and a mobile number you control (verified by OTP).
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Creating fake, duplicate, or impersonated accounts is not allowed.

3. Your content and listings

When you post or update a transfer request, you're responsible for making sure the information in it — your posting, your preferred districts/blocks, and any remarks — is accurate and genuinely yours. You agree not to post anything that is false, misleading, abusive, defamatory, or that violates anyone else's rights or any applicable law.

4. How matching works, and its limits

The platform automatically compares open transfer requests and flags a "match" when two teachers' current postings and preferences line up with each other. A match is only a suggestion that you and another teacher might want to swap postings — it is not verified by us for accuracy beyond the information you and the other teacher entered, and it is not, and does not lead to, any official transfer order. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that a match is accurate, or that any match will result in a completed transfer.

5. Contact between users

Once you're matched (or once another teacher views your open listing), your name, posting details, and mobile number may be shared with them so you can get in touch directly, as described in our Privacy Policy. Any conversation, negotiation, agreement, or paperwork between you and another teacher happens directly between the two of you. We are not a party to that arrangement and are not responsible for anything either of you says, promises, or does, or for whether a transfer is ultimately completed.

6. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Post false postings or preferences, or impersonate someone else;
• Harass, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users;
• Scrape, copy, or bulk-extract data from the platform;
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or OTP verification;
• Use the platform for any purpose other than genuinely seeking a mutual teacher transfer.

We may suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.

7. Reference data

District, block, and school names shown on the platform are drawn from the publicly available ePunjabSchool directory for convenience. We don't guarantee this reference data is complete, current, or error-free, and you should verify official details (such as school codes) with the Department of School Education, Punjab directly.

8. No fees, for now

The platform is currently free to use. If this changes in the future, we will clearly communicate any fees before they apply to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will result in you finding a transfer match.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adla-Badli and the individuals who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, from any match or contact made through it, from any dispute or disagreement between users, or from any transfer that is delayed, denied, or does not go through.

11. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you've violated these Terms or misused the platform.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Punjab.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and your continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
